Delta considers the environment and sustainability as an extremely significant factor for the future. Our ethos stems from management level right through the entire company. We strive to continually reduce our environmental impact through training, education, good practices and a good supply chain.
 

As steel can be infinitely recycled without losing any of its properties, we need to make provisions for future adaptability or reuse.  We can do so by using standard connections to improve future flexibility, utilise off-site manufacture and bolted connections to allow the fabricated modules to be dismantled and interchanged, and provide fully detailed 3D models and record drawings including connection-design information for future deconstruction.

We recognize our actions are impactful and have a duty to minimise them as much as possible:

• Our environmental management system is fully certified to the ISO 14001 and ISO 14064 Carbon Reduce standards and as such we monitor and measure our carbon footprint and energy consumption.

• Our annual objectives continuously include targets to reduce our environmental impact.

• We maintain an Approved Suppliers List; suppliers are not just chosen for their commercial benefit but for commitment to their environmental practices. Location is also considered before placing orders and local suppliers are preferred.

• We produce little waste on site, we only deliver materials required for permanent installation. All protection purchased is part of the Protec Closed Loop Scheme and recycled. Timber pallets are taken back to our workshop to be reused.

• We will not be using fuel on site, only electrical plant (compliant with the NRMM requirements).

• We will not install any works without an approved and briefed Method Statement, these include Risk Assessments for noise and vibration which detail the control measures in place to minimise the adverse effects.

• We will work with clients and advise if any positions arise where local labour can be employed/ trained.

• We are FORS Silver certified, and all deliveries will be made with FORS Silver compliant vehicles as a minimum.

• We are fully compliant with BREEAM and WELL requirements.

• All timber purchased is FSC certified.
